Was soll man über diese Band noch groß für Worte verlieren ? EXILED stehen schon seit ihrem selbst betitelten Debüt aus dem Jahr 2002 für lupenreinen Power-Metal. Keyboards oder gar Chöre sucht man hier wie immer vergeblich. Etwas sperriger ist es schon ausgefallen das neue Album, aber das garantiert meist einen langen Hörgenuss. Sänger John Cason dürfte allerdings nicht jedermanns Geschmack sein. Sein Gesang wirkt stellenweise zu gepresst und angestrengt. Das Cover ist zwar mächtig Klischee behaftet, aber immer noch zehnmal besser als das verunglückte Röntgenfoto der ersten Scheibe. Das Booklet sieht innen sogar richtig Klasse aus. Wer sich 2002 schon die Vinyl Auflage "Blade of Death" zugelegt hat, bekommt mit der neuen CD allerdings nur fünf neue Titel geboten. Die anderen vier sind auf genannter Scheibe schon als Bonus Tracks drauf. Trotzdem ist "Fortune Teller"  ein wirklich gutes und vor allem zeitloses Album, welches genauso gut in den 80ern erschienen sein könnte und dort bei der breiten Masse genauso wenig Staub aufgewirbelt hätte wie heute.

Why lose any needless words about these guys? EXILED is a quality mark for pure Power Metal since their self-titled debut released in 2002. No Keyboards or choirs here at all !! The new album is a bit unwieldier but a long-lasting enjoyment listening to it is guaranteed.Vocalist John Cason won’t be everyone’s flavour,I guess. His vocals partly sound too strained. Although the cover artwork is dripping with cliché it is ten times better than the disastrous X-ray plate of the debut album. The booklet looks great inside indeed.If you already have purchased the vinyl edition „Blade Of Death“ you only will get five new tracks cause the others had been included as bonus tracks on the vinyl edition mentioned above. Nevertheless, „Fortune Teller“ has become real good and –what matters most- timeless album which could have also been released in the glorious 80's. And it wouldn’t have impressed the dull masses in those days just as it won’t do today.
