WOW....wieder so ein fantastisches Album, welches die Truppe um Tom S. Englund (Guitar/Vocals) da rausgehauen hat !  EVERGREY ist eine absolut geile Band die seit Jahren und insgesamt 5 Alben ihren eigenen Stil durchziehen und immer weiter verfeinern. Auf "The Inner Circle" wird alles in Perfektion geboten, was auf den Scheiben davor schon immer ansatzweise zu hören war. Progressiver-Power-Metal mit dem Gespür für Melodien und einem sehr emotionalen Gesang, von schmerzerfüllter, herzzerreißender Grundstimmung bis hin zu erbitterter Aggression von Tom S. Englund zelebriert. Doch die Stärke von "The Inner Circle" liegt in der Kompaktheit und immensen Intensität, die sich erst nach mehrmaligen Hören so richtig entfaltet. Einen großen Anteil an dem genialen Album hat auch Carina Englund die mit ihrer sehr guten Stimme vermehrt zum tragen kommt ("The Wake Of The Weary") und die Orchesterparts sind das I-Tüpfelchen vom Ganzen. Ob ruhige dramatische Songs wie "Harmless Wishes", "Wacking Up Blind", der bombastische Ohrwurm "Ambassador" oder das bedrohliche Finale "When The Walls Go Down", dieses Album darf sich einfach niemand entgehen lassen. Rundum ein Konzeptalbum das in diesem Genre wohl schwerlich zu toppen sein wird und für jeden Fan der auf progressiven harten Power-Metal abfährt ein gefundenes Fressen sein dürfte. Achtung: Es besteht bei intensivem Hören Suchgefahr!!!

WOW...once again a fantastic album released by Tom S.Englund (guitar/vocals) and his mates !! EVERGREY is a brilliant band
following and improving their own musical direction for years and five albums in all now. "The Inner Circle" shows EVERGREY in
perfection finally. Progressive Power Metal with a great feeling for melodies and a very emotional voice,ranging from a grief-stricken,heart-tearing mood to enraged aggressiveness,celebrated by Tom S.Englund. THE GREATEST STRENGTH OF "The Inner Circle" however lies in its compactness and immense intensity unfolding after several listening sessions. Carina Englund's vocal parts also contribute a lot to this brilliant album. Her very good voice ("The Wake Of The Weary") and the orchestral parts mark the "cap of the cream" of the whole album. Be it calm,dramatic songs as "Harmless Wishes", "Waking Up Blind",the bombastic ear-catching "Ambassador" or the threatening final "When The Walls Go Down", none of you should miss this album. All in all a concept album that will be hardly topped by any other release of this genre and a MUST for every follower of heavy and progressive Power Metal. Attention:Intense listening will cause addiction !!
