Eine der wohl unterbewertetsten melodischen Death/Thrash Truppen sind mit dem dritten Album nun am Start. ENFORSAKEN aus den USA bieten auch mit "Sinner's Intuition" ein absolut geiles melodisches Death/Thrash Album auf, was die etablierten Bands locker in die Tasche steckt. Genau wie auf dem 2000er Debüt "Embraced By Misery" oder auf dem 2004er Nachfolger Album "The Forever Endeavor" zeigen ENFORSAKEN auch auf "Sinner's Intuition" was die Band ausmacht. Melodische Killerriffs der beiden Gitarristen Joe DeGroot und Steve Stell die auch den Amott Brüder (ARCH ENEMY) gut zu Gesicht stehen würden. Einzel Songs heraus zu heben würde der Kompaktheit des ganzen Albums nicht gerecht werden, denn es ist von vorne bis hinten absolut überzeugend! Fazit: Wer die alten ARCH ENEMY noch mit Johan Liiva an den Vocals zu seinen absoluten Lieblingsbands zählt, der sollte ENFORSAKEN endlich auch eine Chance geben. Verdient haben es die US Boys auf alle Fälle.

One of the most underrated melodic Death/Thrash outfits release their third album these days. "Sinner's Intuition" is another totally fucking brilliant album of American ENFORSAKEN that is far superior to the releases of all the established bands. The band's skills and quality shine just like on their debut "Embraced By Misery" (released in 2000) or its follow-up "The Forever Endeavor" (released in 2004). Melodic killer riffs created by guitarists Joe DeGroot and Steve Stell that even the Amott brothers (ARCH ENEMY) would be proud of. It wouldn't be fair to mention several single highlights for this album is absolutely convincing in its totality. So finally, if you're into old ARCH ENEMY still with Johan Liiva on vocals give ENFORSAKEN a chance. These US guys have definitely deserved it.

2001 ging das Debüt ,,Embraced By Misery" fast völlig unter in der Veröffentlichungs-Flut........doch mir sind sie damals aufgefallen, die Boys aus Illinois (USA) mit einem Album was nur so vor melodischem Death-Metal strotzt. Ja und dieser Tage, gut 3 Jahre später legen sie mit ,,The Forever Endeavor" erstklassig nach. Gleich beim Opener "Tales Of Bitterness" preschen die Jungs tierisch nach vorne. Mich erinnert das Material der 10 Songs immer wieder an Chuck Schuldiner's DEATH oder CARCASS zu "Swansong" Zeiten. Chuck würde seine helle Freude an dieser Scheibe haben. Es ist absolut erstaunlich wie die Band selbst komplexes Material nur so aus dem Ärmel schüttelt. Es gibt keinen schwachen Song auf "The Forever Endeavor" und alle Bands die sich im melodischen Death-Metal-Bereich etabliert haben, sollten ungemein aufpassen dass sie von ENFORSAKEN nicht vom Thron gespielt werden. Ich hab dann auch noch zwei Anspieltipps für das bangende Volk: "Redemption -The Death of Vanity" und "All For Nothing" (welcher auch locker auf "Swansong" von CARCASS hätte sein können).

In 2001,almost nobody took notice of the band’s debut album „Embraced By Misery“ due to a real flood of releases back then. But these boys from Illinois(USA) already caught my ears back then with their highly-melodic Death Metal. Now, almost three years later ,they put out an excellent new album called „The Forever Endeavor“. Right from the start of the opener „Tales Of Bitterness“ the band rushes ahead fast and furious. The 10 songs strongly remind me of Chuck Schuldiner’s DEATH or CARCASS (especially the „Swansong“ album). I’m sure Chuck would appreciate this CD very much. It is amazing how problem-free these guys create such complex material. There are no fillers on „The Forever Endeavor“ and all Melodic Death Metal bands should beware ! Otherwise they’ll be dethroned by ENFORSAKEN. Songs as „Redemption-The Death Of Vanity“ or „All For Nothing“ (could be taken from CARCASS‘ „Swansong“) are real killertracks and are highly recommended to you.
