Nach dem genialen Debüt "Eight Moons" von 2003 legen die Jungs um Frontmann und Sänger John K. mit "The Empires Of The World" ein geniales wie zugleich fieses Metal-Monster nach. Brachiale Gitarrenwände treffen immer wieder auf die genialen Shouts von John K. Was der Bursche drauf hat, ist echt der absolute Wahnsinn (hört Euch das Album "Heathen Machine" von seinen ex- Brötchengebern BALANCE OF POWER an), da könnt ihr erahnen was er drauf hat. Hier bei BIOMECHANICAL bringt John K. alles was seine Stimme hergibt, ob die derben Shouts oder den klassischen Metalgesang, alles passt wie die berühmte Faust auf das Auge. Aber Vorsicht Fans, das Material von BIOMECHANICAL ist wesentlich härter als das von BALANCE OF POWER !!! Die klinisch-kalte Produktion von "The Empires Of The Worlds" und der einzigartige Gesang ruft eine absolute düstere Endzeitstimmung hervor und macht das Album zu einer höchst abwechslungsreichen und originellen Scheibe die sich jeder Fan in die Sammlung holen sollte.

After the great debut album "Eight Moons" (2003) the guys around frontman and vocalist John K. are presenting with "The Empires Of The World" an absolutely great as well as fierce "Metal Monster" CD!! Really brutal guitar-riffs are hitting the all the time the great shouts of John K. What this guy is beeing able to do with his voice, is real madness! (Listen to the album "Heathen Machine" of his former band Balance of Power, then you can guess, what he is able to do). No matter if you take the more brutal shouts or the classical Metal vocals, everything fits really perfectly! But attention: The material of "Biomecanical" is far harder than the songs of Balance of Power!! The cold production of "Empires Of The Worlds" and the unique vocals are putting you very fast into a really apocaliptic mood! All of this is making this album absolutely original and diversified. I really believe, this album shouldn't be missing in your collection.

Das ist ein Debüt Album welches mich mal wieder total begeistert hat. Nach dem starken Demo von den Jungs konnte Mann/Frau ja einiges erwarten.........aber wie oft war das schon in der Vergangenheit der Fall: klasse Demo und nie eine Scheibe herausgebracht. Zum Glück für uns Fans haben es BIOMECHANICAL gepackt. Die knapp 38 Minuten sind so voll mit hartem, treibendem Power-Metal, dass man bei jedem hören etwas neues entdeckt. Die Jungs um Sänger John K. gehen mit ultra-aggressiven Gitarren an den Start und lockern die Sache immer mal mit ruhigen Parts auf. Johns Stimme ist eine von der Sorte, die jedem Power-Metal-Fan eine Gänsehaut aufsteigen lässt. Sein Gesang wechselt von aggressiven Thrash-Growls zu cleanem US-Metal Gesang der Extraklasse. Das ist eine CD die sich zum Glück in keine Schublade zwängen lässt, denn die Vielfalt auf der Scheibe ist viel zu groß. Die Verbindung von den vielen Stilen bringen BIOMECHANICAL in absoluter Perfektion. Anspieltipps: jede Minute der knapp 38 Minuten. Fazit: KAUFEN (bis jetzt leider ein kleines Problem, da dieses Teil nur als England-Import zu bekommen ist).

Für mich bis jetzt die beste Veröffentlichung seit Jahren aus England. Erinnert mich vor allem vom Gesang her etwas an die HALFORD Mucke und BALANCE OF POWER, was sich beim Nachschlagen im Booklet auch bewahrheiten sollte. Es handelt sich um das Solo-Projekt des neuen BALANCE OF POWER Sängers John K., welcher auch für die komplette Musik inklusive der Lyrics verantwortlich zeichnet. Beim nächsten Song klingt es dann plötzlich, als würden PANTERA und DREAM THEATER zusammen musizieren. Die Band experimentiert stellenweise mit ungewöhnlichen Sounds und geht auch sonst recht progressiv zu Werke. Es herrscht das geordnete Chaos. Klingt alles in allem wie der Soundtrack zur Apokalypse ........ angenehm schräg ! Wer zum Beispiel die geniale BEYOND TWILIGHT Scheibe mag, sollte sich "Eight Moons" unbedingt zulegen.

Another debut album I am very enthusiastic with. You could expect something big according to their great demo...but there are many examples for this: Great demo and never any album releases afterwards. But BIOMECHANICAL were successful: Nearly 38 min. of heavy driving and varied Power Metal. Vocalist John K. and his mates start full force ahead with ultra-aggressive guitars interrupted by several quiet and relaxed parts. John’s voice is of the kind arousing goose-flesh on every Power Metal fan’s skin. He varies between aggressive Thrash-growls and clean high-class US Metal vocals. You simply cannot categorize this CD definitely because of its diversity and perfect combination of different styles. Highly recommended. Go and get it (unfortunately a problem yet because only available as England import, sorry).

To my mind the best British release for years. Reminds me of HALFORD and BALANCE OF POWER, especially in the vocal department. And I was right. Flicking through the booklet I get to know that this is a solo-project of JOHN K., the BALANCE OF POWER vocalist who also is responsible for all music and lyrics. The next song seems to be a bastard of PANTERA and DREAM THEATER. The band experiments with unusual sounds and is rather progressive. Kind of ordered chaos, the soundtrack to the apocalypse....pleasantly weird ! Those of you who like the brilliant BEYOND TWILIGHT album should get this one in any case.
