Ich muss ehrlicherweise zugeben, das mir die Mucke von DUNGEON bis jetzt nicht so recht zusagte. Aber was die australischen Jungs um "Lord Tim" mit dem hier in Europa am 21.02.2005 erscheinenden Album "One Step Beyond" abliefern ist ein erstklassiges Power-Metal Album das tierisch viel Spaß macht und sehr abwechslungsreich geworden ist. Ob melodische Songs mit herrlichen Gitarrenlinien wie "The Power Within" und "Tarranno Del Mar" oder ultra harte, ja fast schon Thrash-Songs mit Doublebass-Attacken und Killerriffs wie der Titelsong "One Step Beyond", mit diesem Album ist DUNGEON ein wahres Pfund gelungen. Die Scheibe reiht sich nahtlos in die klasse Veröffentlichungen von LIMB-MUSIC wie z.B. GOTHIC KNIGHTS, EXHIBITION oder SHADOW KEEP ein. Empfehlung für jeden Power-Metal-Fan: Kaufen !!! (am besten gleich die Limitierte, mit 138min langer Bonus-DVD).

I must admit that DUNGEON'S music wasn't my cup of tea until now. But the new output of these guys from Down Under called "One Step Beyond" (to be released in Europe on February 21st) delivers very enjoyable and varied first-class Power Metal. Be it melodical songs with brilliant guitar lines like "The Power Within" and "Tarranno Del Mar" or super heavy, almost thrashy songs like the title track, this album is a TOTAL KILLER. It becomes a perfectly smooth part of LIMB MUSIC'S great recent releases as for example GOTHIC KNIGHTS, EXHIBITION and SHADOW KEEP. Recommended to every Power Metal freak: BUY OR DIE (preferably the limited edition with bonus DVD, playing-time 138min.) !!
