Diese schwedische Meute hat ja hierzulande beim Underground solch einen Kultstatus, dass man hier eigentlich keine Worte zu verlieren braucht. Trotz allem soll es ja noch immer einige Unwissende geben (... man munkelt ...). Wer mit den üblichen Verdächtigen der 80-er aufgewachsen ist, wird hier etliche Parallelen zu seinen alten Faves entdecken. Besonderes Kennzeichen ist die absolut räudige Stimme von Thomas Karlsson (auch TRISTITIA, PAGAN RITES, AUTOPSY TORMENT). Die Songs liegen fast alle im Midtempo-Bereich. Lediglich bei zwei Titeln bewegt man sich in Richtung Speed Metal. Ein cooles Cover und die absolut authentische Produktion machen diese CD zu einem Genuss für Metal Traditionalisten. Im Übrigen gibt es im Moment wohl keine Band mit einem kultigeren Image als DEVIL LEE ROT.

The cult status of this Swedish horde within the German underground is so well-known that it is needless to lose any further words about it. Nevertheless the rumor's spread that there are still some people bare of any wisdom out there. If you have grown up with the "usual suspects" of the 80s will find lots of parallels to his favourite acts here. A special trademark is Thomas Karlsson's (TRISTITIA, PAGAN RITES, AUTOPSY TORMENT) absolutely mangy voice. All tracks except for two up-tempo titles are mid-paced. A cool cover artwork and an absolutely authentic production make this CD a real pleasure for Metal traditionalists. Moreover there is no actual existing act with a more culty image than DEVIL LEE ROT, I guess.
