Bis dato kannte ich nur das 2000er Werk "Land of Darkness", welches mich damals nicht vom Hocker riss. Ganz anders kommt da die neue CD daher. Power bis zum Abwinken ist auf dem inzwischen bereits dritten Longplayer der Band garantiert. Frontmann Olliver Hornung erinnert in den hohen Tonlagen an ex- ICED EARTH Sänger Matt Barlow, klingt ansonsten aber recht eigenständig. Die Gitarren schrubben sich durch das Album (bei einigen Songs auch ziemlich ICED EARTH ähnlich) und die Drums ballern ohne Ende. Double-Bass Attacken sind bei jedem Song garantiert. Beim Song "Rebellion" habe ich mir fast die Autolautsprecher zerschossen, denn den kann man gar nicht laut genug hören. Die Produktion ist ziemlich merkwürdig (dumpf) für heutige Verhältnisse, aber irgendwie passt sie doch zum Sound der Band. Wahrscheinlich macht gerade dieses "ungeschliffene" den Reiz dieses Albums aus.

I only knew the band's 2000 release "Land Of Darkness" until now which didn't really blow me away. Totally different situation with
their new (third) CD. Power to the hilt is delivered here. Bandleader Oliver Hornung's voice resembles the former ICED EARTH vocalist Matt Barlow when he sings high-pitched but otherwise he sounds quite unique. The guitars shred throughout the whole album (sometimes similar to ICED EARTH) and the drums thunder constantly. Double bass attacks guaranteed in every
song. "Rebellion" nearly killed the speakers in my car because you cannot listen to this one loud enough. The production is quite
strange (muffled) but it fits the band's sound somehow. Guess this roughness is the actual fascination of this album.
