Eine Old-School Thrash Granate vom Feinsten ballern uns die Amis AVENGER OF BLOOD aus Las Vegas um die Ohren. Die Band um den sympathischen Drummer Shannon Frye (ex- VENGEANCE RISING, ex- BIOGENESIS) versteht es, die Rohheit der 80-er Jahre Thrashbands mit den groovigen Riffs der Neuzeit perfekt zu verschmelzen. Auf diesem Album sind nur Knüller und keine Füller !!! Alte Hasen werden bei Titeln wie "Bound by Torment", "Violent Epiphany" oder "Forced to Kill" schon beim lesen der Texte wissen was sie erwartet, ohne vorher auch nur einen Ton gehört zu haben. Vom Gesang, über die wunderbar bratenden Gitarren bis hin zum Cover ist alles stimmig. Einzig der Sound ist für meinen Geschmack nicht transparent genug ausgefallen. Man stelle sich nur mal vor, diese CD wäre von einem Andy Sneap produziert worden ! Dann könnte man hier durchaus von der perfekten Thrash Scheibe sprechen. So reicht es aber immerhin zum CD-Tipp des Monats auf einer Underground-Seite. Und das ist doch ein guter Start für ein Debüt Album. What an high quality Old School Thrash Metal Killer !! These guys from Las Vegas around the likeable drummer Shannon Frye  (former VENGEANCE RISING and BIOGENESIS) know how to combine the rudeness of the 80ies' Thrash bands with the groovy riffs of the present perfectly. This album only contains killers-no fillers at all !!! Old hands will know what to expect reading song titles like "Bound By Torment", "Violent Epiphany" or "Forced To Kill" without having heard one single note. Everything fits perfectly here - the vocals, the wonderful shredding guitars and the cover artwork. Only the sound -to my mind- could have been clearer. Just imagine, Andy Sneap would have produced this album ! Guess it would have become the perfect Thrash Metal album. Nevertheless, it is good enough to become the CD of the month on this Underground site. And I think this is a good start for a debut album, isn't it ?
